The engine mounts are available for all Cessna 180, 182 and 185 aircraft equipped with Teledyne Continental Motors engines (except 0-470 A and J with dual exhaust). All higher horsepower engines 520 and 550 series fit, either with fuel injection or carburetor system (specify). These “heavy duty” replacement mounts are similar to the Cessna 185 3 bladed floatplane design. All our engine mounts have reinforcing where proven to be required. This replacement mount is designed to help eliminate, or remove engine vibrations plus strengthen the firewall. Our mounts have 4 large vibration isolators that are designed to stabilize the engine --- only available with this design. Our system uses Lord isolators that where engineered for this system. They are not the 180/182 original or even C-206 rubbers, which are smaller. NOTE: As always, Compatibility and interference of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer.

INSTALLATION
The Model 460-1 and 460-2 do not require any firewall modifications. Although the removal and replacement is quite standard, allow extra time over the Cessna labor manual allowance for the mods, if required for the following items. Cabin Heat Valve on some model 180, 182 and 185 aircraft may require shifting or rotated 90° to clear a vertical mount tube. Cessna has many different styles and it is nearly impossible to address every style. In some instances, it is far advantageous to replace the unit with a fiberglass 182 style. A repair panel for the exhaust heat shroud is included with the hardware package, if required.
